Gil Gatch, a native of Summerville, SC, graduated from Georgetown Law School in 2019. While in Washington, D.C., he interned for United States Senator Tim Scott and took part in the Heritage Foundation’s Young Leaders Program in The Meese Center for Legal and Judicial Studies. While at Georgetown Law, Gil was a student fellow for Georgetown’s Center for the Constitution and was elected to hold the Chair of Mentorship in the Georgetown Law chapter of the Federalist Society.
Prior to law school, Gil graduated from Southern Evangelical Seminary and served as an associate pastor in Charlotte, NC for seven years. After law school, he clerked for The Honorable Diane S. Goodstein of South Carolina’s First Judicial Circuit before launching his private law practice, Gil Gatch Law. Most recently, Gil was elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives. Gil serves South Carolina’s 94th House District, representing 40,000 residents in Charleston and Dorchester counties.
