Bio

Meet Dr. Janet D. Davis, a vibrant and highly accomplished Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist who has been dedicated to her field since 1996. Known earlier in her career as Dr. Janet D. Larson, she brings a wealth of experience and expertise, holding board certifications in both Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine from the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Dr. Davis’s journey in medicine began with her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1986. She then honed her skills through an Obstetrics & Gynecology residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. Following four years of distinguished service in the United States Army, she pursued a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.

Her contributions to medical literature are notable, with publications on topics such as nausea and vomiting in pregnancy, heartburn, nuchal cords, and cervical ripening methods prior to labor induction. Dr. Davis’s professional affiliations are a testament to her commitment and standing in the medical community. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Additionally, she is an active member of the American Medical Association, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the Georgia OB/GYN Society, and the Augusta OB/GYN Society, where she previously served as president.

Beyond her professional life, Dr. Davis is a dynamic individual with a zest for adventure and a deep passion for her faith. She serves on the board of Southern Evangelical Seminary, reflecting her commitment to apologetics and defending her faith through their new innovative training center, Truth That Matters. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding, practicing karate, and spending time with her five children.
