Jason Jimenez is an author, podcaster, speaker, and pastor. As a brand-new youth pastor in the late 90’s, Jason desired further training and education. At the time, Jason and his wife were living in Tuscan, Arizona. Unfortunately, he could not find a seminary program that focused on Christian apologetics.
Jason’s wife came across SES in 2004, and the two hopped on a plane to attend that year’s apologetics conference. While there, Jason met many of the SES leaders and staff members. Dr. Norm Geisler was set to preach for the church host location on the Sunday following the conference. Jason worshipped with the First Baptist Indian Trail family and had the privilege of meeting Dr. Geisler for the first time.
From there, their relationship took off in a very special way. Upon returning to his home, Jason left the University of Arizona to enroll at SES in 2006. After living in Charlotte for several months, Jason became a pastor on staff at Calvary Chapel. His training at SES was being put to practice every day within his new ministry context. Through Jason’s involvement at the seminary, he suggested having the annual apologetics conference hosted at his new church, Calvary Chapel. This came to fruition and reoccurred for several years that followed.
As the years continued, Dr. Geisler and Jason became close and spent time traveling the world together for conference ministry and speaking engagements. From there, Stand Strong Ministries was born. Stand Strong began in 2012 and exists to embolden Christians in their faith and equip them with a biblical worldview. Jason and his team are most passionate about reaching parents, young people, and pastors with the Word of God.
Jason works to provide resources that teach apologetics to the family unit. He has written many parenting books and most recently released “Parenting Gen Z”. Additionally, Jason serves as a staff member for Summit Ministries where he conducts lectures and courses on bringing apologetics into the home. His two worlds collided as Jason had the opportunity to meet Dr. Geisler’s granddaughter at a Summit Camp this past year. She shared that Dr. Geisler spoke often and fondly of his relationship with Jason. Jason chuckled as he reflected on the weekly meals the two shared and the few occasions that he even helped Dr. Geisler with computer difficulties.
Today, Jason’s passion remains. He desires to bring apologetics into the home and support leaders in ministry on a daily basis. The Washington Times picked up Jason’s podcast called “Challenging Conversations”. Each week, his team provides two podcasts about standing strong in the Word and cultural issues from a Biblical perspective. It is important to Jason that he brings practical dialogue into ministry. In a world where truth is relative and based on personal ideology, Jason is grateful to SES and their continued reverence to the Word of God. He strongly believes that his training at SES shaped every area of life and ministry in a positive way.
