12:45-1:40 / Breakout Session 1
How Can a Loving God Send People to Hell? - Dr. Doug Potter / Admin Building
This talk explores the reality of hell as taught in Scripture and the objections to hell that come from unbelievers as well as some believers to the nature, duration and justice of eternal conscious punishment of the lost.
Is the God of the Bible Racist? - Dr. H.C. Felder / Education Building
Christianity is considered by some to be a slave religion that is enforced by a racist God through the racist Bible. This is far from the truth. In this session, Dr. H.C. Felder will deal with the various arguments of racism and demonstrate that the exact opposite is taught by God in His Word.
1:55-2:50 / Breakout Session 2
The Bible teaches both God’s sovereignty and human responsibility (which entails free choice). It can be shown that there is no contradiction between these either logically or biblically.
3:05-4:00 / Breakout Session 3
Did God Command Genocide? - Dr. Doug Potter / Admin Building
This session explores the morality of God in the Old Testament, especially the commands to Israel to kill all the Canaanites in the promised land. Various options are explored to arrive at an answer that agrees with the nature of God and biblical revelation.
How Do We Know God is Good? - Dr. Timothy Brown / Education Building
With all the discussion about evil today, it seems there is little discussion about good. What does it mean to be good, and how does this relate to God. What does it even mean to say that God is good? This and more will be part of the breakout session ‘How Do We Know God is Good?’
4:15-6:00 / Debate
Is the Reality of Evil Good Evidence Against the Christian God?
