Position Objective:

To provide pastoral leadership to the children’s ministries of Centre Presbyterian Church 

Position Description: 

The Children’s Director must be a visionary who seeks to ignite a desire for a genuine relationship with Christ that leads children to Worship God, Build Relationships, and Serve People.  This person is able to communicate Centre’s purpose of a children’s ministry that helps parents develop a biblical worldview in their children. This position is pastoral in the sense that it requires the individual to serve as a shepherd to parents and their children seeking to encourage Scripture memorizing, prayer, and personal Bible reading as well as provide opportunities for ministry leadership, outreach to the community, and connection to the mission field. 

Qualifications:

1. The candidate must have a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ evidenced by a vital, growing personal relationship with God and a commitment to moral purity.

2. The candidate must have a commitment to the mission, vision, and worship philosophy of Centre Presbyterian Church as taught in the Great Commandment and Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).

3. The candidate should have demonstrated excellence in leading, developing, and building a pastoral and team approach to children’s ministry that desires to teach and mentor children with patience and an accepting heart.

4. The candidate must have the sensitivity to help lead an historic congregation of believers in reaching a new generation of seekers and their children.

5. The candidate must have a degree relating to Children/Family ministries along with a heart to partner with parents in leading children to Christ and to developing them in their faith. Children’s ministry experience is preferred.

Abilities:

1. The Children’s Director must be actively involved in some type of discipleship group on a consistent basis so he/she can be spiritually fed and continue to grow in their faith and have an active and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, evidenced by action, attitude and behavior. 

2. The Children’s Director must have a passion for children’s ministry and a desire to see families grow in their faith together. Previous experience with direction and administration of a Children’s Ministries or Family Ministries is preferred.

3. The Children’s Director must have experience in recruiting, motivating, equipping and scheduling volunteer leaders to minister to children and families. 

4. The Children’s Director must have experience in designing and developing children’s ministry programs in the Reformed Faith. 

5. The Children’s Director must have an ability to reach out and connect with families involved with other organizations that meet at Centre Presbyterian Church during the week.

Position Objective: 

To provide musical and pastoral leadership to the worship ministries of Centre Presbyterian Church.

Position Description:

The worship leader must be a visionary who is creative in leading people to Worship God, Build Relationships, and Serve People. This person is able to communicate Centre’s purpose of music ministry that inspires our members to join in the pursuit of faithfully loving God and others while seeking to make disciples of Jesus Christ. This position requires the individual to serve as the director of the music/worship ministries of the church as well as shepherd those who serve in those various ministries. This person must be able to disciple others in how to reach believers and unbelievers with God’s love through the gift of music.

Qualifications:

1. The candidate must have a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ evidenced by a vital, growing personal relationship with God and a commitment to moral purity.
2. The candidate must have a commitment to the mission, vision, and worship philosophy of Centre Presbyterian Church as taught in the Great Commandment and Great Commission (Matthew 22:37-39 and Matthew 28:18-20).
3. The candidate should have demonstrated excellence in leading, developing, and building community among members involved in a corporate worship-experience.
4. The candidate must have the sensitivity to help lead an historic congregation of believers in reaching a new generation of seekers through the worship of God.
5. The candidate must possess an accredited degree relating to church music/worship arts and a desire to spiritually invest in the members of worship teams through discipleship.

Abilities:

1. A pastoral heart as well as being a musician. This position does not require ordination.
2. A heart for the spiritual formation of those in the congregation and the worship ministry.
3. Relational skills and an enthusiastic presence for leading a historical church in worship.
4. Skilled in choral, vocal, and instrumental direction.
5. Skilled in organization, administration, and interpersonal relationships.
6. Skilled in the use of technology in worship and in the use of sound, lighting, computers, Power Point, and video projection.
7. Ability to incorporate other art forms as needed.
8. A self-starter who is available to members through set/scheduled office hours at the church.
9. A team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain an authentic and growing walk with Jesus Christ through the ongoing spiritual disciplines of Bible reading, prayer, personal worship, fasting, confession, and fellowship.
2. Meet weekly with the Pastor to pray, design, implement and evaluate weekly worship services of Centre Presbyterian Church that are God-honoring, theologically sound, musically excellent, and engaging to both the churched and unchurched.
3. Spend time developing relationships with lost people so as to be personally effective in pursuing the Great Commission and helping the church to do the same.
4. Recruit, develop, equip and lead ministry teams for the purpose of enhancing worship
5. Serve as worship leader in all worship services throughout the calendar year.
6. Direct all weekly activities and rehearsals necessary to facilitate worship in services.
7. Provide shepherding care for the worship teams, choirs, and other groups as required.
8. Introduce our members to worship training provided by other ministries, books, and conferences.
9. Discover and lead members in other ways to use music and drama to reach out to the community evangelistically.
10. Oversee the worship department budget, organization, committee, and volunteers.
11. Have the ability to build contacts and relationships with local musicians to enhance our worship services.
12. Set annual goals for the worship ministry that are in line with our vision and then evaluate how those goals were attained or modified during the year.
13. Attend a worship/church music conference annually for the purpose of continuing education.
14. This position will be evaluated annually by the Session and or Pastor.

Lima Baptist Temple is an independent baptist church located in the town of Lima, OH. The church is led by Senior Pastor Al Elmore who came on as the Lead Pastor around 5 years ago. The church currently has one main worship service, while offering many different Sunday School groups during other hours each Sunday morning. Attendance currently runs around 600 each Sunday for their main service. Currently the church has one blended worship style service at 11:00a with different Sunday School groups that meet during the 10:00a hour. Lima Baptist Temple is a multigenerational church whose vision is “Where together we Go, Serve, and Love as we pursue a life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ!” They are committed to reaching our neighborhoods and the nations with the love of Christ.

The church is seeking an experienced and dynamic person to lead our worship ministry. The right candidate will have a deep personal life of worship and the character and capacity to develop a church worship culture. Below are the requirements and responsibilities we have identified for this role:

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Worship Team

  • Oversee all worship aspects and elements at Lima Baptist Temple.
  • Recruit, audition, develop, and schedule praise team, choir, and orchestra members. Help Tech Director recruit for the media/tech team.
  • Cultivate a Christ-centered community by providing spiritual care and encouragement to the team.
  • Communicate vision and purpose to team members.
  • Help support and develop the student ministries worship team and the next generation of worship leaders.

Weekend Services

  • Plan, organize and be an enthusiastic presence for leading worship during the worship service.
  • Work closely with the Senior Pastor and Tech Director to develop elements of the service that will flow into a cohesive message and response.
  • Exhort and encourage the church to be intentional worshippers.
  • Stay current with new song selections, technologies and worship expressions.
  • Schedule teams and distribute music.
  • Provide leadership for the choir, praise team, and orchestra in rehearsals and services.
  • Work with Tech Director on visual elements of the service.
  • Plan and implement any special worship events or programs; Christmas, Easter, Kids Choir, Student Led Services, conferences, etc. as called upon for service.

Miscellaneous

  • Meets weekly with the Senior Pastor for coordination of ministry as well as planning for upcoming events, dreaming dreams, developing and implementing new vision for the various ministries of the church.
  • Plans and submits a proposed annual budget for the Worship Ministry.
  • Makes visits to prospective Worship Ministry members and hospital visits, as needed.
  • Communicate with the Tech Director any maintenance and repairs that need made.
  • Develop tools for and regularly evaluate the ministry’s effectiveness.
  • Faithfully attend staff meetings and other church functions.
  • This ministry description is a work in process and will be evaluated each year.
  • Provides direction to families for weddings and funerals, as called upon for service.

Journey Church is a non-denominational church located in the town of Peoria, AZ just outside of Phoenix. The church is led by Lead Pastor Joe Darago who came on as the Lead Pastor around 14 years ago. The church currently has two services, while offering children’s ministries during both services and junior high ministry during the second service each Sunday morning. Service times that are offered are at 9:00a and 10:30a, both of which are identical with a modern worship style. Attendance currently runs around 400 each Sunday for their main worship services. Journey Church has a vision to “Help people far from God become fully devoted followers of Jesus”. They are committed to reaching their communities for Christ.

The church is seeking the right candidate to take over as the new Worship Arts Pastors to lead their worship ministry. The right candidate will have a deep personal life of worship and the character and capacity to develop a church worship culture. Below are the requirements and responsibilities we have identified for this role:

  • Oversee new stage designs multiple times each year.

Summit Classical School is a new charter school opening in the fall of 2019. Summit is located in Clinton SC which is 40 minutes south of Greenville SC. Summit is searching for a high energy Principal with an entrepreneurial spirit who is a strong advocate of classical education. Summit will open with 5-6 elementary classes (kindergarten-3rd grade) and will add a new grade level every year. This position starts January 2019 (start date can be flexible). The principal is a 240 Day Employee that Reports to Board of Directors.

Job description:

Lead Summit with integrity and excellence

Manage the overall administration of the school

Hire and train teachers in classical education

Support Faculty and staff

Recruit students

Fundraise and advertise

Evaluates and documents staff performance.

Serves as Lead Administrator

Supervises student activities/extra-curricular events both during and after school hours, including school athletic activities

Participates in meetings, webinars, workshops, seminars, and conferences necessary to effectively perform duties

Approves annual revisions to Master Schedule

Supervises contract physical education coaches and instructors

Performs other duties and specific administrative functions as assigned by the Board of Directors

Insures observance of the Code of Conduct by all students

Maintains discipline in the school and at school related events to include addressing behavior issues by conferencing with students, teachers, and/or parents, along with issuing referrals for inappropriate behavior for disposition by the Board of Directors

Insures Assistant Principal and Office Manager properly submit Powerschool data/reports

Responsible for understanding the requirements of and for preparing, compiling, and submitting data for a variety of reports required by Federal, State, district, and local agencies; specifically reviews with Assistant Principal Title 1 compliance as needed

Counsels individuals and small groups of students with problems

Consults with teachers, staff and parents regarding the developmental needs of students

Refers students with problems to appropriate program specialists or community agencies

Participates in and facilitates any behavioral intervention

Monitors and maintains compliance of School with South Carolina Code of Laws Title 59, specifically Chapter 33, and other applicable provisions of state and federal law regarding the education of children with special needs
