Employment Opportunities

Part-Time Nanny Wanted:

I am beginning the search for a part-time nanny for our three children ages 6, 6, and 3.

My husband and I are both physicians and live in South Charlotte. I will begin working part-time in approximately 6 weeks, depending when paperwork is completed.

For the first month or two, the number of shifts I work may fluctuate, but will settle out at 8/month. The shifts I work are variable times during the day or evening, as well as the days of the week. That being said, I will have my schedule worked out 4 months ahead of time.

While I am working, I will need help with transporting kids to and from school/preschool (so a safe, reliable car that holds 3 car seats is important), helping with homework, baths, making lunches, etc.

I will also need some help on off-days with grocery shopping, light errands, light housekeeping (tidying, laundry), and some simple meal prep would be a bonus! I anticipate we will need an average of about 20 hours a week.

While having someone that can multi-task and complete the responsibilities listed is important, it is even more critical to us that the nanny is gentle, loving, engaged, enthusiastic, and nurturing. Our faith is important to us, so it would also be ideal to find a Christian nanny.

Please let us know if you know of anyone that may be looking for something along these lines.

Please contact Chrissie at chrissiefishermd@yahoo.com

SENIOR PASTOR, Island of Oahu, Hawaii

Dear Fellow Laborer in Christ:

Dr. Rick Bartosik, our Senior Pastor at Mililani Community Church, recently announced his plan to retire after nearly 21 years of faithful service.  His final Sunday will be on Easter Sunday of 2016.  In response to Dr. Bartosik’s announcement, the Board of Elders of the church has formed a Pastoral Search Committee tasked with beginning the search for our new pastor.  We are therefore, requesting your assistance in identifying and referring men who, as the Lord leads and directs, may be interested in being considered a candidate for this position.

Mililani Community Church is a body of believers located in the city of Mililani on the island of Oahu, State of Hawaii.  The church began in 1980, and was originally named “The Church at Our House”, with members meeting in individual homes.  Dr. Bartosik began his ministry as pastor in June 1995.  Shortly thereafter, the name of the church was changed to Mililani Community Church.  In 1996, the church became affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA).

Our congregation is made up of a nice blend of local families of various ethnicities, military personnel, and transplants from the mainland United States. Our attendance at the Sunday morning worship service averages near 170 people.  Various ministries within the church are handled by very capable ministry team leaders.  We have vibrant children and youth ministries, active men’s and women’s ministries, and multiple small group Bible studies that meet during the week.  Our AWANA program, which recently began its second year, now has nearly 70 children who attend every week, most of whom are from the community.   Our church places a strong emphasis on world missions and evangelism, and we support anumber of missionaries on a regular basis.  We also anticipate opening our preschool in August 2016, and over a year of extensive planning and prayer has already been invested as we look ahead to starting this new and important ministry.

As you pray with us regarding God’s choice of the next man to shepherd our flock, we do humbly request that you help us identify men who not only meet the biblical qualifications of an elder, but who, in your opinion, may be a good “fit” for a church such as ours.  We ask that you share this information with such individuals.  As a first step, we encourage all potential candidates to obtain more information about our church and the EFCA by going to www.mcchawaii.org and www.efca.org.  If there is continued interest, we are asking that candidates forward to us the following documents as the next step in the search process:
1. Resume, with references
2. Complete statement of faith (doctrinal statement)
3. Transcripts of coursework completed in Bible college and/or seminary
4. Links to or CDs of messages recently preached

The chairman of our Board of Elders, Jonathan Uyeno, is also serving as the chairman of the Pastoral Search Committee, and he will also be the point person in the search for our next pastor.  We are asking that all required documents be forwarded to him either through email or regular mail.  Questions and other correspondence may also be directed to him.  His contact information is as follows:

1. Email address:  notw1991@hotmail.com
2. Cellular phone:  808-228-0179
3. Regular mail:     Mililani Community Church
                                  95-1100 Ka`apeha St.
                                  Mililani, HI  96789

Thank you for your assistance and prayers as Mililani Community Church seeks the Lord’s mind and leading relative to calling our next pastor.
Because He lives,

Paul Domen
Elder and Pastoral Search Committee member

The 650-acre campus consists of carefully tended grounds and stately Georgian buildings.

Supported by a long and rich history, Hanover College is launching a national search for a Vice President for Advancement who will partner with a new president, Dr. Lake Lambert, who begins his work on July 1, 2015.  The previous vice president is retiring.  The accomplishments of the recent Live Our Loyalty Campaign awakened the culture of philanthropy at Hanover after a 20-year hiatus.  Launched in July 2010 and concluded in September 2014, the campaign raised more than $54 million in new gift assets (cash, pledges, and estate gifts).  Hanover’s endowment now totals $160 million. Current enrollment is 1,145.
