On April 11, 2013, Southern Evangelical Seminary announced Dr. Richard Land as its new president!
Since 1988, Land has served as president of the Southern Baptist Convention's Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission. In making its selection, the SES Board of Trustees considered Land to be one of the leading Christian voices for cultural apologetics in America over the past quarter of a century.
